In Observance of Ramadan I will attempt to refrain from posting about food for the next month. I may not be muslim, but I do empathize with the practice of fasting. It is a good exercise to develop ones self control. As a spiritual practice fasting can help teach you focus. This focus, when developed more, can help you navigate tough situations fasting or not. No matter what spiritual path you are on you can celebrate that you are not an animal acting on instinct. You are a sentient being capable of choosing to act or not act. The ability to practice self discipline is something to celebrate.
