There is nothing that can make a person smile quite like love can. Today is the anniversary of of when the United States federal government told the States they can not prohibit inter-racial couples from marrying. In the aptly named court case of Loving vs. Virginia.
Mr. and Mrs. Loving married in 1958, but it wasn’t until June 12 1967 that the courts decided they were not criminals for being in love.
On this day I propose we celebrate the freedom to love. Click on the related links to find out about others who are celebrating too. Or go to www.lovingday.org
